My ultrasound today showed no signs of any eggs ready to be released. The midwife said there's a 50/50 chance that it may happen around Monday-ish, but we're not going to schedule another (expensive) ultrasound to see; we'll just practice as if i'm ovulating, i guess. LOL ... and this takes the pressure off nightly practice while we're camping ...
The next step is that we're getting a referral to Carolina Conceptions. They'll counsel us on doing an 8-10 day cycle of daily injectibles followed by intra-uterine insemination. We'll have to see what our insurance covers because this is a $2-3k treatment. And we'll also have to weigh the risks to my body, given the PCOS. So basically, we're right back where we were in May/June 2005 (except that i'm about 15-20 lb. heavier than i was then, which could be yet another negative against my attempts). i suppose the upside is that i was pregnant (naturally) by July that time... lol
Not a good day in the "i feel feminine, i am woman, hear me roar" record books, that's for sure.
