The doctor seemed to think that losing another ten pounds (for a total of 20 since May 1) will greatly help my fertility; that would get me down to my pre-Doodle weight, when i got pregnant last. She also wants me to cut out simple sugars, carbs, basically all processed foods. (Sound familiar, recently diagnosed friend o'mine? lol)
In the meantime, i have to get all new blood tests on Monday morning - insulin, glucose, thyroid, etc. Also, she's continuing me on Femara. So I have to wait another two weeks, then can take the period-inducer Rx for 10 days. When i get my period, i have to schedule a "baseline" ultrasound so they can see what my ovaries and uterus look like. At day 12 of that cycle (so now we're talking about 5 weeks from now), i'll go in for a mid-cycle ultrasound. This is exactly the same process as i went through this cycle. If it looks like i'm about to burst an egg, they'll inject me with Ovedril and i'll go home to make whoopie like a mad rabbit. If it doesn't look like i'm about to burst, then we get the period-inducer refilled and start over.
The doctor wants to give this a try for 2-4 cycles. If i'm not pregnant by then - and she seems confident i will be! but i'm not so sure - then we'll start talking injection cycles.
i suppose the next update will be in about 3-5 weeks. Please light candles to the fertility gods for me. :)
