Transitions

As i couldn't sleep early this morning, i started to wonder...

i know a few long term slaves, myself included, who have started to explore their dominance. i wonder if it's a fad, as it seems to be getting more common, although i dont feel i delved into things just cuz i saw others doing it. LOL

i also wonder if there's more to it than that. i mean- does (or can) a slave get to a point where submission feels so second nature / comfortable (for the most part- we all have issues that may continue to "provoke"), that s/he feels the next natural area to explore is dominance? ie: to begin the practice of what's been preached for so long?

On a related note, these same long term slaves - at least some - seem to have little interest in submitting to anyone else, even just for play / scening. Why is that? Is it because they're so used to their current owner that others pale in comparison? I mean, is it that they've become so accustomed to their way of life - their owner's style - that other doms just don't seem as "real" or as "domly"? Is it that their focus on their own dominance precludes any further interest in "new" submission, possibly finding more intrigue in how someone new would submit, rather than how a new someone would top?

I dont think i have answers to these questions, but i don't think i need any. lol It's just interesting fodder for thought!

i have the same thoughts and questions too. I don't really have a need to submit to someone new and when i do it should be considered a special event. I carefully choose who i may want to Top/dominant me other than Wayne, and it is always ran by Him first. I enjoy being the submissive/slave but lately i enjoy learning my dominant side. Yes i believe it is a practice what is preached kinda thing. My play versus His play is totally different but the same in the end. My submission and slavery i feel has become second nature to Wayne and i do things for Him that i don't have to think about anymore.

Thanks so much for your perspective, angel! It's interesting to see our similarities, isn't it? :)
