Just read a post and it made me question: Do I have everything as i want it now, that a year ago I hoped I'd have by now? Hmmmm....
1. Pregnant - yep, with twins, even. :)
2. Stable primary relationship - we've had our rough spots throughout the year, but yes- i think i'm grounded in my love and relationship with R.
3. Stable secondary relationships - i'm so thankful to have A around. She's bright, funny, responsible, balanced; she makes R incredibly happy and fits extremely well into our life. i'm also thankful that those who weren't a good fit had the sense enough to step away and stop the drama, and that the rest of our extended family is still on the journey with us. :) i'm also somewhat surprised at how things have gone with jb, though. i didn't expect for us to end. 'Nuff said there. So, this one has to be a no- not where i thought i'd be.
4. Out of teaching & into a more rewarding career path - it didn't happen the way i thought it would, but yes, it's done. :)
5. On the road to better financial stability - This one is a mixed bag. As the saying goes, "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry." Unexpected medical costs and pay cuts have us further behind than we'd hoped, but (knock on wood!) at least we're still able to keep our heads above water.
6. Keep Doodle challenged and continuing to develop - Again, what became reality wasn't on my radar a year ago... but i couldn't be happier with where we are today. :) He really enjoys montessori and he's responding MUCH more happily to his preschool sports sessions than i could've hoped for. Yay!

WOOOOT
and i agree with your assessment, yes and no's but overall, so far 2009 is a notch up for me, from last year.
Did I read this right!!! Sounds like a big congratulations is in order. It's good that your life has so many more "yes" in it than "no's".... Hugs.
and what a difference a year makes huh?
